December, 2019

The past year has been an exciting one for the PDLEP and we are so pleased you have been a part of it! Thank you for taking us into your hearts and supporting our mission to introduce our youth to an eclectic palate of new experiences.

The children have been introduced to sign language, the men, women, and equipment of Southold Police Department, the Greenport power plant, maneuvering a row boat through the Peconic Bay, and examined its waters under a microscope, built a robotic toy, and learned a few magic tricks.

You have joined us at the Breakfast with Pirates & Mermaids, got to know our police force at the Southold Police Kids' FunFest, and most recently enjoyed the Gingerbread Gallery & Auction. These fun*raisers, in addition to our generous sponsors, and your financial support have enabled us to start scheduling classes for the summer of 2020. More news of those in our next monthly newsletter.

Congratulations go out to all of you who generously entered your delicately crafted gingerbread structures. We deeply appreciate all those that donated their time, services and goodies to help make this event so special. Our three judges, Marla Milne, Rob Brown, and Aldo, did a masterly job of selecting the winners.
