10:00am-12 noon
Mitchell Park, Greenport
The Southold Police Department and PDLEP, along with the Village of Greenport, teamed up to bring you a Kids' FunFest.
Everyone from 1 to 101 was invited to share a morning of excitement and fun with Chief Martin Flatley and his Officers. Canine Corps from Southold, Riverhead, and Southampton demonstrated their training, kids climbed into the Mobile Command Center vehicle, tried on official police gear, checked out the Marine Unit Vessel, got fingerprinted, took pictures with their favorite Officer, fired up a Police car siren, watched the Motorcycle and Bike Patrol Units demonstrate their techniques, and so much more.
The 6th Annual Pirate and Mermaid Breakfast Experience was held at Front Street Station Restaurant, Greenport on September 22, 2019
See the write up under Breakfast with Pirates and Mermaids for a full description of the morning's event.
If somehow you missed out on the fun, keep practicing your “Aarrgghh” and be the first to get tickets for the 7th annual Breakfast when they go on sale, August 2020.
All proceeds support the Paul Drum Life Experience Project.

The Greenport Regatta was scheduled to take place over Columbus Day weekend, October 11 - 13. There were to be Ocean, Classic and Bay races and on shore activities. The sailing vessels would have been docked at Mitchell Park Marina and visitors would have had the opportunity to see sleek Ocean Yachts, Classics, and Racing Sloops.
Unfortunately, due to circumstances of a personal nature the entire Regatta has been cancelled for this year. The organizers are preparing to secure it to take place next year, 2020.
The Paul Drum Life Experience Project was to have been the recipient of funding as a result of that successful event. We understand the circumstances leading to the cancellation and wish the entire Regatta team health, good luck and the enthusiasm to continue with their ongoing plans for the future. Hopefully the PDLEP will still be considered a partner in 2020 as we continue our mission to provide children with opportunities to open new worlds and expand their horizons.
