Discover the magic of puppets and puppet making. Our instructor Carmen Campos will ignite everyone's imagination with her boxful of puppets, help everyone make their own puppet and then bring them to life in puppet show.
Go fly a kite, after you make one!
For the Scientist: A twenty minute lesson on the science of how kites fly, accompanied by several demonstrations to amaze and entertain.
For the Artist: Each student will create their own artwork to decorate and individualize their kite.
For the Engineer: An opportunity to assemble your own kite.
For the Adventurer: If the weather permits, we will fly our kites

Birds, mammals, insects, and reptiles have fascinated human artists for centuries! Sketch our live animal ambassadors in class – up close and personal. While everyone is sketching, we will discuss the animal’s unique adaptations, history, personality, and more! Artifacts like shells, nests and skulls will also be brought for sketching opportunities.
StoryFaces shows are a surprising combination of storytelling and visual arts that engages the entire audience as the stories come to life on the faces of audience volunteers. Volunteers are facepainted onstage as to illustrate the tales as they are told. It's a wonderfully interactive performance!
Get up close and personal with all sorts of reptiles! See a variety of snakes, turtles, and tortoises and learn all about their lifestyles. Also find out about human impacts on several species, and how they can help some of our local species.
All are welcome to the Annual Southold Police Kid's Fun*Fest. Chief Flatley, his officers and their equipment will be in Mitchell Park to meet and greet all visitors and show off some of the cool police gear. Fingerprinting (for fun), ATVs, police cars, vans, the mobile command center, motorcylcles, bikes,and perhaps a boat or two will be available to climb into, investigate, and maybe even catch a ride.
Using recycled wax, make your own candle and learn about the recycling wax process, how to recycle the candle glass, how to create vertical and quilted candles, and basic safety that candles are to be lit by an adult only.
A completed consent form is REQUIRED to attend any class provided by The Paul Drum Life Experience Project. Please complete the form below, and bring it to the class your child is registered in.
